Why wasn't I issued a new PayPal Debit Mastercard®?
PayPal will no longer reissue debit cards if they’ve been inactive ("dormant") for an extended period of time. Dormant refers to any card with 13 or more months of inactivity.
To receive a new card, cardholders will need to complete the application process for a debit card again.
With the PayPal Debit Card, you can:
- Spend your PayPal balance anywhere Mastercard® is accepted. Use your Card in stores or online:
- Tap to pay by adding it to a digital wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Online – you’ll now see your PayPal Debit Card as a payment option at PayPal Checkout.
- Earn 5% cash back on a monthly category you select.*
- Add funds to your PayPal balance in thousands of stores that support cash reloading.
- Set up auto-reload to your PayPal balance so you always have money to spend with your PayPal Debit Card.
To request a PayPal Debit Card online, click Request Your Card on the PayPal Debit Card page and follow the instructions. No credit check is needed since this is not a credit card.
Are there any fees?
There are no fees to own or pay with the PayPal Debit Card in stores or online within the US, or when you withdraw at US MoneyPass® ATMs. Both the ATM surcharge and PayPal fees are waived. Learn more about fees.
