Can I cancel a personal transfer?

You can typically cancel a transfer if the money has not yet reached your recipient. As transfers between PayPal accounts are instant, and most reloads and bill payments are completed within minutes, you usually can’t cancel these types of transaction once they’re authorized.

To cancel a transaction:

  1. Open your Activity History
  2. Choose the transaction you wish to cancel and click on the transaction ID
  3. Click the Cancel icon and confirm the action on the pop-up window

The Cancel icon will not appear if that transaction is already completed, or if we can’t reverse the funds. In this case, you’ll receive a confirmation of the completed transaction via email.

Check our User Agreement for more information regarding our cancelation and refund policy. If you have more questions, please contact us.
